How will counselling and psychotherapy help?
Counselling and psychotherapy provides you with a space for you to talk about feelings that worry or upset you, to make sense of what is impacting on you now and to increase self awareness.
As a relational counsellor I am passionate about helping you to improve your relationships and wellbeing and I am committed to providing counselling and psychotherapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment.
I work with individuals on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully and I am easy to access from Kingwood, Banstead, Epsom, Ewell, Dorking and Reigate
Counselling and psychotherapy will help you to regain your wellbeing and has proven to be successful in helping with a wide range of issues including:
Combatting depression & low mood
Support through affairs, abuse, separation & divorce
Coping with grief & loss
Building self-esteem and confidence
Managing work stress & change
Sometimes we can feel lost, confused, overwhelmed and anxious when we go through major upheavals in our lives or perhaps you just don’t feel yourself anymore and want to get back to feeling like you used to again. Any life event will impact you and put a strain on relationships and affect how you feel and behave and may leave you feeling vulnerable and that your options are limited.
Counselling and psychotherapy can help you reconnect with those things that are important to you and start to look at things differently and make you feel like yourself again.
Engaging in counselling sessions can help you by looking at alternative ways you can respond to others, manage your feelings, and make sense of what has happened, all of which can have a positive impact on your wellbeing and relationships. My practice offers you a safe, non-judgmental climate to discuss and explore your issues. Many of us suffer from varying degrees of distress and trauma and challenging relationships at some point in our lives and making the decision to seek help can be difficult. I therefore endeavor to try to put people at their ease and help them to see that deciding to seek professional help is a strength and an opportunity.
We will arrange an initial meeting to see if counselling or psychotherapy is right for you and discover what brings you to counselling now and to explore how I can best help and support you. It gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have and ensure you are happy working with me before committing to any further sessions.
